Electronic Arts has announced that its EA Mobile division has sold more than nine million mobile games based on The Sims.
That's across its entire range of Sims games, of course, taking in The Sims 2, The Sims 2 Castaway, The Sims 2 Pets, The Sims Bowling, The Sims DJ, and a few sales from just-released The Sims Pool 3D.
The last time EA announced this kind of milestone was in September 2006, when it revealed that it had sold one million mobile copies of The Sims 2 in Europe in just seven months.
Anyway, the new total of nine million downloads for the brand as a whole is mighty impressive, although it's still a relatively small proportion of the 100 million The Sims games sold across all platforms since 2000.
