You'd be hard pushed to find a development platform that doesn't claim to be a one-stop shop, but appMobi which offers what it says is the world's first cloud-based app creation tool has a valid claim.
Namely because, as well as providing the apparatus to develop apps, appMobi also offers a consulting service, guiding inexperienced firms looking for a smartphone presence through the process of getting their brand in an app in anyway they see fit.
Engineering an investmentIt's obviously a combination that the firm's investors have a faith in, with appMobi having just closed a $6 million funding round.
The all-angel bout of financing will, unsurprisingly, be used to fund further expansion, with TechCrunch reporting particular attention is to be paid to hiring more engineering staff and pushing the platform to new clientèle via increased marketing spend.
The firm's tools have already been utilised by the likes of FOX News and AOL, with 8,000 developers in all using appMobi to create their titles.
