London-based mobile game developer Hutch has been awarded a place on the UK's Best Workplaces list and is the only games studio to do so in 2017.
The developer was included as part of the 27 employers in the Small Workplace category. 120 companies were included on the overall list.
Hutch scored particularly high in its staff satisfaction surveys due to measures that allow its staff to build their work around their life, and not the other way around. Initiatives include the ability to work remotely two days a week.
Pole position
"We've got off the line to a great start in 2017. The studio has experienced fast-paced growth since just five of us founded the studio back in 2011, growing to a workforce of over 50 car enthusiasts today," said Hutch CEO Shaun Rutland.
"We have always strived to make Hutch a special place to work, and making it into the Best Workplaces list is not only a huge honour, but supports the fact that this focus has been felt by our crew."
Hutch kicked off 2017 with a $5.5 million investment round in February, following 14 million downloads of its game Hot Wheels: Race Off. It also recently hired UI artist Anisa Sanusi as a new UX/UI Designer.
