New Android SDK released

Version 1.5 to be built on Cupcake branch
New Android SDK released

Google has handed out a sneak preview of its 1.5 build of the Android SDK, which is apparently built on the far more popular (among home brew developers, anyway) Cupcake branch of the software.

Cupcake allows for home page widgets, live folders, speech recognition and, most popular of all, an onscreen keyboard.

For developers, the most important factors will be the SDK’s option to target different Android platforms, while development kit add-ons will also be become available direct from Google and from third parties.

More details are available at the official Android developers' blog.
