The Iranian government has blocked Supercell's Clash of Clans as it looks to restrict teenagers from becoming negatively affected by the game.
A committee decided to block the game based on reports from psychologists that claimed the game encouraged violence and "tribal conflict".
It also warned that teens may become addicted to the game, leading to a negative family life.
While the restrictions in place are designed to gate off younger players from the game, it appears that the entire country has been blocked from accessing Clash of Clans.
A major blow
It is estimated that 64% of all mobile gamers in Iran play Clash of Clans. It appears that Clash Royale, a title based in the same universe, is unaffected by the block.
Clash of Clans is the second big-name mobile game to be blocked by Iran in recent months. In August 2016, the government blocked Pokemon GO on the grounds of "security concerns".
